Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manager, Fire & Life Safety Engineering (RS) will play a critical role in overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of fire and life safety systems across Qiddiya’s diverse portfolio. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive fire and life safety strategy that integrates with Qiddiya’s broader development goals, ensuring alignment with Saudi Vision 2030 and international best practices.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to local, regional, and global fire and life safety codes, including NFPA, IFC, and Saudi Civil Defense requirements. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and certifications.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks, safeguarding both assets and human life.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead a team of fire and life safety engineers, providing guidance, training, and professional development to foster a high-performance culture. Encourage innovation and continuous improvement in safety protocols.
• Project Oversight: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and construction managers, to integrate fire and life safety systems seamlessly into project designs. Monitor progress to ensure timely and compliant execution.
• Emergency Preparedness: Develop and implement emergency response plans, conduct drills, and ensure staff are trained to handle fire and life safety incidents effectively. Collaborate with local authorities to enhance community safety initiatives.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a liaison between Qiddiya Investment Company, government agencies, consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless communication and alignment on safety standards.
• Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the allocation of resources, including budget, personnel, and technology, to optimize fire and life safety operations while maintaining cost efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for safety innovation. The ideal candidate will possess:

• A bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., PE, CFPS, NICET) is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in fire and life safety engineering, with at least 5 years in a senior management or leadership role within large-scale infrastructure, entertainment, or urban development projects.
• In-depth knowledge of fire and life safety codes, standards, and regulations, including NFPA, IFC, and Saudi Civil Defense requirements. Familiarity with international standards such as ISO and EN is a plus.
• Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex projects, and driving safety excellence in high-profile environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from government officials to project teams.
• Proficiency in fire safety software, CAD tools, and project management systems. Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is advantageous.
• Professional registration or certification in fire safety engineering (e.g., Registered Safety Professional, Certified Fire Protection Specialist) is preferred.
