Role Overview: Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) Immuno-oncology – Riyadh
The Therapeutic Area Partner (TAP) Immuno-oncology – Riyadh is a field-based position designed to facilitate scientific exchange and engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the field of oncology. Serving as the primary liaison for HCPs, the TAP will deliver scientifically accurate, timely, and meaningful interactions that support the safe and appropriate use of Bristol Myers Squibb products. This role extends beyond treating physicians to include clinical pharmacists, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) experts, multidisciplinary teams, and other key stakeholders. The TAP is responsible for driving strategic objectives, upholding company values, and ensuring compliance with all internal and external regulations.
The TAP will dedicate a minimum of 90% of their time to field-based activities, engaging with HCPs through targeted interactions and initiatives that enhance disease awareness, treatment understanding, and product utilization.
Key Responsibilities
Disease Awareness and Treatment Landscape Expertise
- Maintain an advanced level of expertise in disease areas and treatment landscapes relevant to immuno-oncology.
- Collect, analyze, and synthesize clinical data to generate actionable insights for internal stakeholders, informing strategic decision-making.
- Develop a deep understanding of the local treatment landscape, including HCP mapping, to anticipate and address information needs.
- Identify knowledge and care gaps within the territory and design and implement targeted learning programs to address these gaps.
Scientific Engagement and Product-Related Communication
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan aligned with agreed-upon metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare thoroughly for HCP engagements, ensuring the presentation of scientifically accurate and medically appropriate information.
- Proactively communicate with physicians and other HCPs to support approved indications and address product-related inquiries using internally approved resources.
- Maintain expertise in emerging clinical data related to Bristol Myers Squibb products and provide meaningful medical insights to internal teams.
Product Enlistment and Economic Value Engagement
- Develop detailed hospital mappings to tailor engagement strategies for each institution.
- Analyze the patient journey within each hospital to identify access barriers and facilitate formulary enlistment of approved indications and products.
- Collaborate closely with key HCPs across hospitals and institutions to support timely access and formulary inclusion.
- Communicate the scientific and economic value of Bristol Myers Squibb products to a range of stakeholders, including clinical pharmacists, treating physicians, and government agencies.
- Deliver Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) evidence-based information to relevant stakeholders to demonstrate the value of our therapies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Execution
- Build and nurture strong relationships with both external and internal stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of HCP challenges in a complex access environment.
- Develop and implement plans that align with cross-functional team and product objectives to ensure cohesive execution.
- Design and deliver scientifically meaningful programs that enhance disease area understanding and support overarching strategic goals.
- Seek cross-functional input to ensure a well-rounded understanding of the treatment landscape and to inform strategic initiatives.
Compliance and Ethical Standards
- Champion and uphold a culture of compliance across all activities and interactions.
- Adhere strictly to all internal policies and external regulations governing healthcare interactions and product promotion.
- Report any potential compliance concerns promptly to management or designated compliance channels to mitigate risks.
