Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will play a pivotal role in maintaining the financial health of Keden International by performing a wide range of accounting duties. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Financial Reporting: Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission of financial reports to management and stakeholders.
• General Ledger Management: Maintaining and reconciling the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, classified, and posted. Identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Managing the accounts payable and receivable functions, including processing invoices, verifying payments, and ensuring compliance with payment terms. Monitoring aging reports and following up on overdue accounts to optimize cash flow.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Analyzing variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights, and recommending corrective actions to senior management.
• Tax Compliance: Ensuring timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, income tax, and other statutory obligations. Staying updated with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
• Internal Controls: Implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud. Conducting periodic audits and reviews to assess the effectiveness of financial processes and controls.
• Payroll Processing: Collaborating with the HR department to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including salary calculations, deductions, and statutory contributions. Maintaining payroll records and ensuring compliance with labor laws.
• Financial Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Preparing ad-hoc reports and presentations for management, highlighting key financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or multinational environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling).
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards, as well as tax regulations in Saudi Arabia.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English is required; additional languages are a plus.
