Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of financial accounting functions, including:

• Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and local regulatory requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to stakeholders, including management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, classified, and posted. Monitor account balances and investigate discrepancies to uphold financial integrity.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing, verification, and payment of vendor invoices, as well as the management of customer receivables. Collaborate with procurement and project teams to resolve payment-related issues and optimize cash flow.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts. Analyze variances between actual and projected figures, providing insights to support strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Tax Compliance and Planning: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations, including Value Added Tax (VAT), Zakat, and income tax. Prepare and file tax returns, liaise with tax authorities, and implement tax-efficient strategies to minimize liabilities.
• Internal Controls and Audit Support: Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and explanations as required.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and project management, to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on financial matters.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial accounting, preferably within a multinational or engineering consultancy environment.
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS, local accounting standards, and tax regulations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical conduct, professional integrity, and continuous learning.
