Key Responsibilities

As the Sr. Country Business Leader, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic, operational, and leadership functions:

• Strategic Leadership and Growth: Develop and execute a robust business strategy for BD’s Surgery portfolio in Saudi Arabia, ensuring sustained growth in sales, gross profit, and operational income. Implement a scalable go-to-market (GTM) model that maximizes market penetration while expanding geographical coverage and team capabilities.
• Stakeholder Engagement and Partnership Development: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers, including government entities, the Ministry of Health, healthcare providers, and opinion leaders. Advocate for BD’s solutions within healthcare policy frameworks, funding priorities, and regulatory environments to enhance brand visibility and market influence.
• Financial and Operational Excellence: Oversee demand planning, inventory forecasting, and annual budgeting processes to ensure financial accuracy and profitability. Lead ongoing financial forecasting and performance assessments to align business operations with strategic goals and market dynamics.
• Market Intelligence and Innovation: Proactively identify emerging trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities within the Surgery portfolio. Leverage market research and business analytics to drive data-informed decision-making, optimize platform performance, and develop competitive counterstrategies to safeguard and expand market share.
• Product Launch and Commercialization: Drive the successful introduction of new products and line extensions through comprehensive commercialization strategies. Ensure timely registration and regulatory compliance to support business continuity and growth objectives.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across regional teams, particularly within the META region, to define market segmentation, targeting strategies, and growth initiatives. Build strong cross-functional relationships to drive operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Ethical Leadership and Compliance: Uphold BD’s commitment to ethical standards, integrity, and compliance in all business activities. Champion global policies such as FCPA and Global Trade compliance, embedding best practices across the organization.
• Representation and Advocacy: Represent BD at industry conferences, scientific congresses, and healthcare forums to amplify brand presence and thought leadership. Effectively manage promotional investments while improving return on investment (ROI).
