• Strategic Application Operations: Design and execute a comprehensive application operations strategy that aligns with business needs, ensuring scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems. Collaborate closely with application owners and end-users to refine workflows and enhance usability.
• Proactive Monitoring and Incident Management: Implement advanced monitoring solutions to track application health, performance, and usage trends. Lead post-change application checks and participate in Change Advisory Board (CAB) reviews to mitigate risks and ensure smooth deployments.
• Automation and Efficiency: Champion automation initiatives by developing scripts, leveraging tools like Ansible, and optimizing workflows to reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and accelerate delivery. Write and maintain code in languages such as PowerShell, Python, JavaScript, or C# to support automation and system enhancements.
• Technical Support and Collaboration: Provide expert technical guidance to development and application teams, fostering cross-functional collaboration to resolve issues and drive innovation. Act as a trusted advisor on application deployment, security (including IAM, PAM, and cybersecurity best practices), and system optimization.
• Performance Analytics and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards to track application uptime, availability, and usage metrics. Generate monthly SLA reports and analyze trends to identify opportunities for improvement, cost savings, and process efficiencies.
• Knowledge Leadership and Documentation: Champion a culture of documentation by creating and maintaining clear, actionable guides on application deployment, cold-start procedures, critical services, and best practices. Contribute to the organization’s knowledge system and mentor first-line support teams to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery.
• Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analysis for application outages and failures, implementing corrective actions to reduce downtime and enhance reliability. Proactively learn from incidents to refine processes, improve resilience, and drive long-term operational excellence.
• Maintenance and Compliance: Plan and execute maintenance activities, patch deployments, and system restarts while ensuring adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). Stay abreast of industry best practices and pursue relevant certifications, such as ITIL v3+, to strengthen your expertise.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal customers to understand their needs and pain points, ensuring applications align with business goals. Influence stakeholders through clear communication, data-driven insights, and collaborative problem-solving.
