Key Responsibilities

In this influential role, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Environmental Assessment: Conduct rigorous evaluations of construction projects to identify environmental risks, opportunities for sustainability, and pathways to enhance ecological resilience.
• Sustainability Framework Development: Design and implement robust environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives tailored to project-specific needs, ensuring alignment with industry-leading standards.
• Regulatory Compliance and Research: Stay ahead of evolving environmental policies and sustainability regulations, translating complex guidelines into actionable strategies for project teams.
• Reporting and Documentation: Develop comprehensive sustainability reports and compliance documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability in all project deliverables.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects, engineers, and project managers to embed sustainability principles into project planning, design, and execution phases.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate sustainability goals, progress, and achievements to clients, investors, and regulatory bodies, fostering trust and advocacy for sustainable practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly motivated professional with a strong academic background and hands-on experience in sustainability and environmental engineering. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Advanced Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Sustainable Development, or a related discipline is required. A Master’s degree in a relevant field is strongly preferred.
• Industry Experience: At least five years of experience in environmental sustainability or engineering, with a focus on the construction sector. Demonstrated success in performing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and drafting sustainability reports.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of environmental policies, sustainability standards (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001), and assessment methodologies. Proficiency in analyzing sustainability metrics and leveraging data to drive decision-making.
• Communication and Influence: Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills to engage diverse stakeholders, including clients, regulators, and project teams. Ability to articulate complex sustainability concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
• Analytical Acumen: Strong analytical skills to evaluate project data, identify trends, and propose data-driven solutions for environmental challenges.
• Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
• Certifications: Certifications in sustainability frameworks (e.g., LEED AP, ENVISI, or similar) are a significant advantage and will be highly regarded.
