Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of clinical, managerial, and educational duties, ensuring seamless integration of advanced veterinary practices with exceptional patient care:

• Clinical Leadership & Advanced Care: Conduct thorough physical examinations, diagnose complex medical conditions, and develop tailored, evidence-based treatment plans for a diverse range of patients. Perform routine, emergency, and specialized surgeries, including orthopedic procedures and fracture repairs, with precision and care. Interpret advanced diagnostic imaging and laboratory results to inform critical clinical decisions, ensuring optimal patient recovery and outcomes.
• Anesthesia & Surgical Expertise: Administer anesthesia, medications, and vaccinations with meticulous attention to detail, while closely monitoring patient recovery and adjusting treatment protocols as needed. Handle high-risk and complex cases, providing expert oversight and collaborating with the clinical team to refine treatment strategies.
• Client Education & Trust Building: Empower pet owners with clear, compassionate, and evidence-based guidance on treatment options, post-operative care, and preventive health measures. Foster long-term client relationships by delivering transparent, patient-centered communication and fostering trust in the clinic’s expertise.
• Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure strict adherence to MEWA veterinary licensing requirements, animal health regulations, and controlled substance handling protocols. Maintain meticulous, up-to-date medical records to support regulatory compliance and clinical continuity.
• Team Mentorship & Professional Development: Supervise and mentor associate veterinarians and clinical staff, providing constructive feedback and fostering a culture of professional growth. Lead by example, promoting best practices in veterinary care and operational efficiency.

Requirements

To excel in this position, you must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or its equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in veterinary science and clinical practice.
• A valid veterinary license to practice in Saudi Arabia (MEWA registration) or the eligibility to obtain one promptly. Experience navigating regulatory environments is a significant advantage.
• 5+ years of clinical veterinary experience, with a proven track record in advanced diagnostics, surgery, and patient management. Your expertise should reflect a commitment to staying current with the latest veterinary advancements.
• Proven experience in mentoring or supervising other veterinarians, showcasing your ability to lead with empathy, clarity, and professionalism. Team development is a core aspect of this role.
• Fluent English proficiency is essential for effective communication with clients, colleagues, and regulatory bodies. While Arabic is not mandatory, fluency in the language will further enhance your ability to serve a diverse patient population.
