Your multidisciplinary expertise will be instrumental in reviewing, coordinating, and optimizing highway, roadway, interchange, and civil infrastructure designs—from conceptual development to final execution. You will collaborate closely with design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to drive technical assurance, constructability, and value engineering initiatives that align with project objectives and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Review: Conduct rigorous technical reviews of highway, roadway, interchange, and infrastructure designs, ensuring adherence to Saudi Highway Code (SHC), Ministry of Transport (MOT) standards, AASHTO guidelines, and international best practices. Evaluate multidisciplinary engineering submissions, including transportation, drainage, structural, geotechnical, utilities, and traffic engineering packages, to guarantee seamless integration and performance.
• Design Assurance and Compliance: Oversee the review of design reports, drawings, calculations, specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQs), and technical studies to uphold project integrity and regulatory compliance. Act as a subject matter expert in road safety engineering, drainage systems, hydraulic modeling, stormwater management, and structural design, including bridges, retaining walls, and underpasses.
• Stakeholder and Consultant Coordination: Facilitate collaboration between design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders across all project phases, from conceptualization to construction. Lead technical workshops, design reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering studies to identify cost-effective and sustainable solutions.
• Constructability and Permitting Support: Assess constructability and design-for-construction strategies to mitigate risks and optimize project execution. Support permitting processes and authority coordination, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Quality Assurance and Performance Monitoring: Monitor consultant performance and quality outputs, ensuring timely delivery of design deliverables that meet project schedules and technical specifications. Prepare comprehensive technical comments, Construction Review Submittals (CRS), engineering recommendations, and management reports to inform decision-making.
• Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate technical proposals and alternative design solutions to enhance project efficiency, safety, and economic viability. Contribute to cutting-edge initiatives in transportation engineering, leveraging your expertise to drive industry advancements.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a highly qualified professional with:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s Degree in Transportation Engineering is highly preferred).
• Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in transportation and highway engineering, with a proven track record in major infrastructure projects, including highways, interchanges, bridges, and transportation programs.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of highway design, traffic engineering, drainage and hydrology, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, road safety, and utility coordination. Experience reviewing multidisciplinary engineering designs and leading constructability assessments.
• Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Civil 3D, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, MicroStation, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS, along with other relevant engineering software tools.
• Industry Experience: Hands-on experience working within Project Management Consultancy (PMC), client, or design consultancy environments, with a strong understanding of project lifecycle management and stakeholder engagement.
