As our Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. This role demands a blend of technical proficiency, analytical rigor, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless financial operations while driving transparency and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day accounting operations using Odoo ERP, ensuring seamless processing of transactions, general ledger (GL) entries, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) activities. Leverage your expertise to maintain robust financial controls and processes.
• Reconciliation Mastery: Perform complex and high-volume reconciliations for customers, vendors, and bank accounts, ensuring 100% accuracy and identifying discrepancies for resolution.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and adjustments with meticulous attention to detail. Generate trial balances, financial schedules, and supporting documentation to support comprehensive financial statements.
• Compliance and Tax Management: Handle all VAT-related transactions, reporting, and tax invoices in strict adherence to ZATCA requirements in Saudi Arabia. Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT filings to avoid penalties and maintain compliance.
• Audit Support: Assist in audit preparation by compiling supporting schedules, resolving audit queries, and coordinating with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
• Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate accounting discrepancies, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Utilize your analytical skills to resolve complex issues independently.
• Advanced Financial Analysis: Employ advanced Microsoft Excel skills to conduct in-depth accounting analysis, including complex formulas, Pivot Tables, lookups, and reconciliation reports.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from a recognized institution, with a minimum of four years of study.
• Technical Proficiency: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in accounting operations within Saudi Arabia, with a strong emphasis on Odoo ERP. Proficiency in Odoo is mandatory and non-negotiable for this position.
• IFRS Expertise: Certification in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), coupled with a deep understanding of accounting principles and best practices.
• Specialized Experience: Extensive experience in general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), accounts finalization, and financial reporting. Proven expertise in handling complex reconciliations and supporting month-end/year-end closings.
• VAT and Compliance Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of VAT regulations and ZATCA requirements, including VAT reporting and the preparation of tax invoices in compliance with Saudi laws.
• Excel Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create dynamic reports, perform data analysis, and utilize advanced functions for reconciliation and financial modeling.
• Problem-Solving and Independence: Ability to independently analyze and resolve accounting discrepancies, demonstrating strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
• Verification of Credentials: All academic and professional certificates must be verifiable. Membership in the Society of Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) is considered an added advantage.
