Key Responsibilities

As our Sustainability Engineer, your responsibilities will be both strategic and action-oriented, encompassing:

• Strategic Sustainability Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sustainability strategies that align with global corporate objectives and regional priorities, ensuring our operations in Saudi Arabia and beyond achieve environmental excellence.
• Environmental Impact Assessment: Conduct rigorous environmental impact assessments and sustainability audits to evaluate our operational footprint, identifying key areas for improvement and innovation.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to interpret complex environmental metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Project and Initiative Management: Lead cross-functional sustainability projects, including renewable energy initiatives, waste reduction programs, and water conservation efforts, ensuring their successful execution and measurable impact.
• Regulatory Compliance and Reporting: Ensure full adherence to environmental regulations, corporate sustainability policies, and international standards such as ISO 14001. Prepare detailed sustainability reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies using frameworks like GRI and SASB.
• Technological Innovation: Stay ahead of industry trends by researching and evaluating emerging sustainable technologies, circular economy principles, and best practices to enhance our operational efficiency and environmental performance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and corporate leadership, to embed sustainability considerations into business operations, decision-making processes, and long-term planning.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainability Engineer with:

• 10+ Years of Experience: A proven track record in sustainability engineering, environmental engineering, or a related field, demonstrating expertise in reducing carbon footprints, optimizing resource efficiency, and advancing sustainable practices.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of environmental engineering principles, sustainability assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance requirements, including expertise in life cycle assessment (LCA) and carbon footprint analysis.
• Analytical and Data-Driven Approach: Strong proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to interpret complex environmental metrics and sustainability performance indicators to inform strategic decisions.
• Sustainability Reporting Expertise: Familiarity with leading sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) and SASB (Sustainability Accounting Standards Board), along with experience in preparing comprehensive sustainability reports.
• Project Management Acumen: Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage multiple priorities, and deliver sustainable projects on time and within scope.
• Technical and Communication Skills: Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills to effectively communicate findings to diverse stakeholders, including executives, regulatory bodies, and cross-functional teams.
• Tool and Software Proficiency: Experience with sustainability analysis tools, energy modeling software, and GIS platforms to support data-driven decision-making processes.
• Certifications and Standards Knowledge: ISO 14001 certification or equivalent environmental management system knowledge is highly preferred. Familiarity with green building standards such as LEED or BREEAM is a significant advantage.
