As the **WPR**, you will be the guardian of safety protocols, ensuring that all work activities are executed with precision, accountability, and full compliance with Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems, site Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures, and client-specific standards. This role is pivotal in mitigating risks, preventing incidents, and fostering a culture of safety excellence within our projects.

Key Responsibilities

In this strategic position, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Permit Management: Carefully review, validate, and issue work permits prior to the commencement of any work activity, ensuring all conditions, safety measures, and procedural requirements are met.
• Safety Verification: Conduct thorough pre-job inspections to assess worksite conditions, verify the implementation of safety controls, and confirm that all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is provided and utilized.
• Safety Communication: Lead or participate in toolbox talks, pre-job safety discussions, and hazard assessments to ensure that all team members are fully informed of potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Crew Coordination: Clearly communicate permit requirements, safety protocols, and emergency procedures to work crews, supervisors, and HSE personnel to foster a shared understanding of responsibilities.
• Real-Time Oversight: Actively monitor worksite activities to ensure ongoing compliance with permit conditions and safety standards, intervening immediately to halt any work that violates established protocols.
• Permit Lifecycle Management: Oversee the validity of permits throughout the duration of work activities, including the suspension, revalidation, or closure of permits as necessary to maintain compliance and safety.
• Client Alignment: Support adherence to client-specific PTW procedures, ensuring that all project activities align with the expectations and standards of Saudi Aramco and other high-profile clients.
• Collaborative Accountability: Work closely with permit issuers, supervisors, HSE teams, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and continuous improvement of safety processes.

Qualifications and Experience

We are seeking a **highly skilled and safety-conscious professional** with a proven track record in permit management and industrial safety. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Technical Expertise: A relevant technical qualification in fields such as engineering, safety management, or a related discipline, complemented by hands-on experience in industrial or construction environments.
• Industrial Experience: A minimum of **three years** of experience in industrial, construction, infrastructure, Oil & Gas, or Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, with a strong preference for candidates who have held roles involving Permit-to-Work systems.
• Certified WPR: Prior experience as a Work Permit Representative or in PTW-related roles is **mandatory**. For Saudi Aramco projects, candidates must hold a **valid Saudi Aramco WPR certification or approval**, where applicable.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of:
• Permit-to-Work systems and workflows
• Job Safety Analysis (JSA) methodologies
• Hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures
• Hot work and cold work procedures
• Confined-space and excavation safety protocols
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) awareness and implementation
• Effective toolbox talk facilitation and worksite safety controls

Preferred Attributes

While not mandatory, the following attributes will be highly valued:

• Saudi Aramco Experience: Candidates with prior experience working on Saudi Aramco projects or familiarity with its operational standards will be prioritized for relevant assignments.
• Industry-Specific Knowledge: Experience or familiarity with major Saudi industrial clients, including SABIC, SEC, or other key players in the sector, is advantageous.
• Regional Insight: Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia is preferred, given the local regulatory and operational landscape.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: The ability to integrate seamlessly into cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration between technical, safety, and operational stakeholders.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent English communication skills are essential to facilitate clear and effective interactions with diverse teams and clients.
