Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic role, you will:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive People & Culture strategy aligned with Mandarin Oriental’s global standards, ensuring the hotel’s workforce is empowered, motivated, and aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee all People & Culture functions, including talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, learning and development, employee relations, safety and health, and organizational effectiveness, to drive operational excellence.
• Partner with leadership to ensure departmental heads and managers have the tools, policies, and support needed to achieve guest service excellence and business goals.
• Design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs, conducting regular market benchmarking to ensure fairness, equity, and alignment with industry standards.
• Lead workforce planning and development initiatives, including career pathing, skill gap analysis, and training programs, to nurture talent and retain top performers.
• Ensure compliance with local and global regulations, including Saudi Labour Laws, payroll systems, and employment contracts, while staying ahead of legislative changes that may impact the organization.
• Foster a positive colleague climate through proactive engagement strategies, communication initiatives, and conflict resolution processes to enhance morale and productivity.
• Promote a culture of safety, health, and sustainability by implementing and enforcing FLHSS (Food, Lodging, Health, Safety & Security), OHS (Occupational Health and Safety), and sustainability policies across the department.
• Organize and support social, recreational, and wellness activities to strengthen team cohesion and work-life balance.
• Ensure all colleagues have valid employment contracts, work permits, and visas (where applicable) while maintaining strict adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and enforce emergency procedures, ensuring regular drills and compliance with Mandarin Oriental’s safety protocols for both employees and contractors.
• Communicate corporate and hotel policies effectively, ensuring all colleagues understand their roles, responsibilities, and the Group’s standards of excellence.
