Key Responsibilities

As an Instructor Pilot (Basic), your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering High-Standard Flight Instruction: Conducting instructional flights for RSAF cadets, ensuring alignment with approved training programs and maintaining the highest safety and proficiency standards.
• Mentoring and Development: Providing personalized guidance to cadets, both in-flight and on the ground, to cultivate their technical skills, decision-making abilities, and professionalism.
• Operational Excellence: Upholding rigorous flight operations protocols, including pre-flight briefings, in-flight demonstrations, and post-flight debriefings to reinforce learning outcomes.
• Cross-Cultural Collaboration: Effectively communicating and influencing cadets from diverse backgrounds, adapting teaching methods to ensure clarity and engagement in both English and Arabic-speaking environments.
• Continuous Professional Growth: Staying abreast of advancements in flight training methodologies and sharing best practices within the BAE Systems training ecosystem.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• Military or Ex-Military Background: A distinguished career as a flying instructor, preferably with an RAF A2 instructor qualification (or equivalent) for Basic instruction, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in aviation training.
• Extensive Flight Experience: A minimum of 1,500 total flying hours, with 800 hours accumulated on fixed-wing aircraft, reflecting broad operational experience.
• Instructional Expertise: Proven proficiency in delivering 400+ hours of Basic flying instruction, with a focus on foundational skills, safety protocols, and cadet development.
• Age and Eligibility: Maximum age of 51 years at the time of contract commencement, ensuring a blend of seasoned expertise and adaptability.
• Leadership and Communication: Exceptional people development competencies, interpersonal skills, and the ability to inspire confidence in cadets through clear, concise, and culturally sensitive communication.
