Key Responsibilities

In this impactful role, your responsibilities will include:

• Cloud Architecture & Implementation: Design, deploy, and manage Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environments, ensuring alignment with enterprise requirements for scalability, availability, and performance.
• Infrastructure Automation: Lead the implementation of infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources, reducing manual intervention and minimizing operational risks.
• Platform Operations & Optimization: Oversee the day-to-day operations of Linux-based infrastructure and cloud platforms, focusing on performance monitoring, capacity planning, and continuous optimization to meet evolving business needs.
• Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce robust security controls, including network security, access management, and infrastructure hardening, to ensure compliance with industry best practices and organizational policies.
• Networking & Connectivity: Configure and troubleshoot complex networking components such as DNS, load balancing, routing, and firewalls to ensure seamless connectivity, reliability, and high availability across distributed environments.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies, backup solutions, and high-availability configurations to safeguard critical infrastructure and minimize downtime.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with security, DevOps, networking, and application teams to deliver cohesive, secure, and high-performance cloud platforms while maintaining comprehensive technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
• Scripting & Automation: Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Bash, or PowerShell to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and support infrastructure-as-code (IaC) initiatives.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive innovation by evaluating new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance cloud infrastructure reliability, scalability, and automation workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field, with a proven track record in designing and managing enterprise-scale cloud solutions.
• Expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including architecture, deployment, and troubleshooting, with a deep understanding of its services and capabilities.
• Proficient Linux administration, including system configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, with experience managing enterprise environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and management, as well as Ansible for configuration management and automation.
• Experience with GitLab and infrastructure automation workflows, enabling seamless integration and collaboration across development and operations teams.
• Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, load balancing, and network security, with the ability to design and troubleshoot complex network architectures.
• Cloud security expertise, including infrastructure hardening, access controls, and operational security best practices to mitigate risks and ensure compliance.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with the ability to develop and maintain automation scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and performance management tools to ensure optimal platform health, availability, and scalability.
• Understanding of cloud architecture principles, including high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery, with a focus on designing resilient and fault-tolerant systems.

Preferred Skills

While not mandatory, the following skills will be highly valued:

• Experience with VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, or Nutanix for containerization and orchestration.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP and multi-cloud strategies to support hybrid or cloud-agnostic solutions.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management best practices to ensure consistency and repeatability.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix to enhance observability and proactive issue resolution.
• Relevant certifications in OCI, cloud platforms, Linux, or infrastructure engineering to validate expertise and demonstrate commitment to professional growth.

Education & Competencies

Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, though exceptional candidates without a degree may be considered based on relevant experience.
