Head of Credit Control, Claims & Collections

Join our dynamic organization as the **Head of Credit Control, Claims & Collections**, where you will drive operational excellence, enhance financial liquidity, and optimize end-to-end receivables management across diverse client segments—including insurance companies, corporate entities, and government institutions. This strategic leadership role is pivotal in transforming credit control, claims processing, and collections into a high-performing, data-driven function that accelerates cash conversion, minimizes disputes, and supports sustainable growth.

As the visionary leader of this critical function, you will spearhead the consolidation of credit control, claims, and collections into a unified, accountable department. Your expertise will be instrumental in streamlining processes, establishing robust governance frameworks, and fostering seamless collaboration across Commercial, Operations, IT, and Finance teams. With a focus on operational efficiency and financial discipline, you will ensure timely claims settlements, disciplined collections, and accurate forecasting—all while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships at every level.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of strategic and operational responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership & Transformation: Lead the transition to a cohesive, single-function Credit Control, Claims & Collections department, overseeing the seamless handover of processes, data, and stakeholder relationships from legacy functions.
  • Organizational Design & Governance: Define the department’s structure, operating model, policies, procedures, controls, and delegated authorities to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • End-to-End Claims & Collections Management: Govern the entire claims lifecycle—from submission and follow-up to settlement, collection, cash application, and final reconciliation—ensuring adherence to SLAs and high-quality service delivery.
  • Stakeholder & Relationship Management: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with finance, claims, and settlement teams across insurance companies and partner institutions, fostering collaboration and resolving complex disputes.
  • Credit & Financial Risk Oversight: Review and approve financial terms in customer contracts, establish and enforce credit policies, limits, and payment terms, while mitigating credit risk through proactive monitoring and exception management.
  • Receivables & Collections Optimization: Manage receivables aging, collection strategies, payment commitments, and escalations to minimize overdue accounts and improve cash flow. Develop and enforce disciplined collection plans tailored to client segments.
  • Forecasting & Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate short- and medium-term collection forecasts, providing actionable insights to Treasury and FP&A. Develop comprehensive dashboards and reports on DSO, aging, claims status, collection performance, disputes, and forecast accuracy.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Risk & Performance Reporting: Deliver regular performance and risk updates to the CFO, ensuring transparency and alignment with strategic financial goals.

Why This Role Matters

In this pivotal position, you will not only drive operational efficiency but also play a critical role in enhancing the organization’s financial health and liquidity. Your ability to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), minimize overdue receivables, and improve claims acceptance rates will directly contribute to the company’s growth trajectory. By establishing clear SLAs, disciplined escalation protocols, and data-driven decision-making, you will ensure the department achieves full operational readiness by January 1, 2027, positioning the organization for long-term success.

Candidate Requirements

We are seeking a seasoned professional with a proven track record in credit control, claims, and collections, coupled with a passion for operational transformation. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, with a preferred professional qualification or postgraduate degree.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in credit control, receivables, claims, collections, or finance, including five years of hands-on experience in credit control and collections.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in managing credit, claims, or collections teams, with a focus on performance improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Strong practical experience in negotiating with insurance companies, managing claims submissions, rejections, resubmissions, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Preferred experience in healthcare, pharmacy retail, or medical insurance, given the organization’s industry focus.
  • A deep understanding of receivables aging, DSO, credit risk, cash conversion, and working capital performance, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly SAP, along with experience using analytical and reporting tools to derive actionable insights.
  • Exceptional negotiation, stakeholder management, and escalation skills, with a proven ability to resolve complex disputes and drive operational improvements.
  • A measurable track record of reducing overdue receivables, improving claims acceptance rates, and accelerating collections.
  • Preferred experience in building, consolidating, or restructuring a credit and collections function.

The successful candidate must be available to join no later than December 1, 2026, and must hold Saudi Nationality. This is an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact in a high-growth environment, where your strategic vision and operational expertise will drive meaningful change.
