Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the following core duties:
- Field Inspections and Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough on-site inspections to verify the quality, compliance, and adherence to specifications of materials used in construction projects. Ensure that all materials meet industry standards and project requirements.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed reports, test results, and compliance documentation to support project deliverables. Maintain accurate records of material properties, certifications, and site observations.
- Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify potential material-related issues and propose actionable solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project timelines are met without compromising quality.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate seamless communication and resolve technical challenges collaboratively.
- Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure that all materials and processes comply with local regulations, international standards, and company policies. Stay updated on evolving industry guidelines and best practices.
- Site Coordination: Assist in organizing and overseeing material deliveries, storage, and handling procedures to maintain efficiency and minimize waste.
- Training and Knowledge Transfer: Mentor junior engineers and team members on best practices in materials engineering, quality control, and field operations.

Qualifications and Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in materials engineering are a plus.
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in field engineering, quality control, or materials testing, preferably within the construction or infrastructure sector.
- Strong technical knowledge of material properties, testing methods, and compliance standards, including ASTM, ISO, and local regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and propose effective solutions.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and industry-specific software such as AutoCAD, SAP2000, or materials testing software.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and present findings clearly.
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in field conditions, including remote or challenging sites, for extended periods.
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Knowledge of Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
