Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of networking, engineering, and operational duties, ensuring our infrastructure remains robust, secure, and future-ready:

• Network Engineering and Provisioning:
• Engage with network vendors to review contracts, invoices, and recommend improvements that align with business objectives.
• Design, install, and configure network equipment—including switches, routers, wireless systems, and WebEx calling infrastructure—while adhering to established standards and project requirements.
• Develop and maintain standardized installation and configuration procedures to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Contribute to the evolution of network standards and explore innovative, automated solutions to streamline operations.
• Optimize resource allocation to enhance efficiency and achieve economies of scale in network management.
• Oversee the maintenance and configuration of critical hardware such as switches, routers, circuits, and wireless networks to meet performance and security benchmarks.
• Operations and Support:
• Perform daily monitoring to verify the integrity, availability, and performance of networking hardware, firewalls, and circuits, including bandwidth and uptime assessments.
• Provide technical leadership during escalations and incident response, offering expert guidance to resolve complex issues.
• Deliver Tier II, Tier III, and specialized support as needed, investigating and troubleshooting technical challenges to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with impacted stakeholders to communicate issues, resolutions, and preventive measures effectively.
• Oversee the development and evaluation of network performance metrics, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Collaborate with vendors to maintain cloud software solutions and infrastructure, including AWS Cloud and Microsoft Entra, while supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Lead annual disaster recovery drills and contribute to the refinement of recovery strategies.
• Maintenance and Optimization:
• Apply regular patches, upgrades, and administrative tool enhancements to maintain system security and performance.
• Support virtualization infrastructure and ensure the reliability of data center environmental and monitoring systems.
• Develop and maintain operational, configuration, and procedural documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Conduct periodic performance reporting to inform capacity planning and recommend improvements or redesigns based on data-driven insights.
• General Duties:
• Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• Document IT problems, track incidents, and monitor systems using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies, proposing recommendations that enhance our network’s capabilities.
• Participate in rotating on-call support to ensure 24/7 availability and rapid response to critical issues.
