As an IT Infrastructure Engineer with a network focus, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimizing, and securing our global network infrastructure. Reporting directly to the Network Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless connectivity, performance, and security across our North American branch offices. Your expertise will drive operational efficiency, support critical business initiatives, and align technology solutions with corporate standards to deliver exceptional service to our diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities

In this dynamic position, you will:

• Design, Deploy, and Optimize Network Infrastructure: Apply engineering principles to analyze network performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement scalable solutions that enhance connectivity, reliability, and security across LAN, WAN, and remote branch offices.
• Ensure High Availability and Performance: Monitor and maintain network health, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and proactively resolve incidents to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency for global teams.
• Lead Network Refreshes and Branch Relocations: Oversee the planning, configuration, and deployment of network hardware—including Aruba switches, access points, and routing devices—ensuring timely and cost-effective implementations without relying on expedited shipping.
• Collaborate with Vendors and Technicians: Coordinate with external contractors to remotely guide on-site technicians during hardware installations, testing, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless execution of network projects.
• Adhere to IT Change Control and Security Standards: Strictly comply with company policies for network modifications, submitting comprehensive change requests for review and approval before implementing updates to production environments.
• Manage Service Desk Tickets and SLAs: Prioritize and resolve network-related trouble tickets within established ServiceNow SLAs, targeting an average resolution of 2-3 tickets daily while escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed.
• Proactively Monitor and Remediate Network Issues: Utilize enterprise monitoring tools to detect performance alerts, address connectivity problems before they impact operations, and ensure continuous network resilience.
• Document and Maintain Technical Records: Keep detailed logs of network configurations, IP addressing schemes, and project tasks in Jira and ServiceNow, ensuring transparency and traceability for future reference.
• Support On-Call and Off-Hours Operations: Participate in scheduled rotations to address urgent network refreshes, relocations, or remediation projects during off-hours or weekends, ensuring minimal disruption to business continuity.
• Align with Corporate Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce standardized network design templates, security protocols, and best practices to maintain consistency across mergers, acquisitions, and branch expansions.
