Key Responsibilities

In this strategic role, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead comprehensive budgeting, forecasting, and performance management for international markets, ensuring alignment with business objectives while identifying key risks and opportunities. Provide actionable financial insights to guide critical decision-making processes.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Develop and maintain high-quality financial and management reports, including P&L analysis, operational performance reviews, variance analysis, and forward-looking forecasts. Present findings to stakeholders with clarity and precision to drive informed business strategies.
• Franchise Financial Partnership: Support the entire lifecycle of international franchise partnerships, from daily settlements and budgeting to financial system implementation and analytical tool utilization. Ensure seamless financial operations and compliance across diverse markets.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with local finance teams and cross-functional business units to refine financial processes, strengthen internal controls, and enhance reporting capabilities. Collaborate with teams to launch new markets, business models, and operational initiatives.
• Scalable Financial Frameworks: Develop standardized, scalable, and data-driven financial management frameworks tailored to international operations. Co-develop financial dashboards and customized reporting tools to monitor P&L performance, operational metrics, and key business drivers.
• Knowledge Transfer and Training: Create financial guidelines and training materials, and deliver sessions to overseas finance and business teams to foster financial literacy and operational efficiency.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and support strategic initiatives as required, ensuring that financial insights are integrated into broader business strategies.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• Advanced Education: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CFA are highly valued.
• Extensive Experience: At least five years of experience in financial planning and analysis, business finance, or management reporting. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in retail, FMCG, chain food and beverage, or multi-site consumer businesses.
• International Exposure: Experience working in multinational organizations or supporting international markets, overseas operations, or franchise businesses is a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, or other international accounting and reporting standards. Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills, with the ability to manage large datasets and translate complex information into actionable business insights.
• Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a keen commercial sense to navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities.
• Adaptability and Collaboration: Proactive mindset, adaptability to a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work effectively across cultures and geographical locations. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required.
• Travel Commitment: Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, primarily to Xiamen and other Asia-Pacific markets.
