• Maintaining and Updating Patient Records: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of patient medical records, collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and administrative teams to maintain seamless documentation processes.
• Medical Coding Excellence: Assign precise diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10 and CPT systems, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and payer requirements to support accurate billing and reimbursement.
• Revenue Cycle Support: Provide critical coding information to billing and revenue cycle teams, helping to minimize claim denials and maximize operational efficiency.
• Quality Assurance and Compliance: Identify and rectify discrepancies in documentation or coding, while ensuring strict adherence to healthcare regulations, including those related to confidentiality, security, and accreditation standards (e.g., CBAHI).
• Insurance and Audit Assistance: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve insurance claim denials and support internal and external audits, ensuring continuous improvement in documentation practices.
