In this pivotal position, you will serve as the backbone of our facility’s maintenance operations, bridging the gap between technical challenges and guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities span preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and proactive system management, ensuring all equipment—from HVAC and plumbing to kitchen appliances and landscaping—operates flawlessly. Whether troubleshooting a malfunctioning air conditioning unit, addressing a plumbing issue, or performing routine inspections, your work directly impacts the comfort, safety, and operational efficiency of our facility.

Key Responsibilities:

**Guest and Maintenance Support:**

• Respond promptly to guest repair requests, demonstrating exceptional communication skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
• Perform daily preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, mechanical systems, and utility infrastructure, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Execute basic repairs on plumbing (e.g., unclogging drains, fixing toilets), electrical components (e.g., replacing switches, outlets, and lamps), and general guestroom amenities (e.g., TV programming, vacuum cleaners).
• Leverage the **Lockout/Tagout system** to ensure safety during maintenance procedures, adhering strictly to company protocols.

**Technical and Operational Excellence:**

• Master a broad skill set encompassing air conditioning/refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical and plumbing repairs, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Manage maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and supplies, and utilize basic computer skills to input schedules (e.g., air handler settings) and monitor system performance.
• Perform repairs on interior/exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems, to maintain a pristine and functional environment.
• Collaborate across shifts to communicate daily activities, challenges, and solutions using approved communication platforms, ensuring continuity and coordination.

**Safety, Compliance, and Guest Relations:**

• Uphold the highest standards of safety and security, reporting hazards, accidents, or injuries immediately and completing required training/certifications.
• Foster a guest-centric culture by welcoming visitors, anticipating their needs, and addressing concerns with professionalism and empathy—including assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Protect company assets, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and adhere to all company policies regarding appearance, conduct, and asset management.
• Engage in continuous professional development to acquire or refine skills in areas such as energy conservation, pneumatic/electronic controls, and advanced troubleshooting techniques.

**Physical and Operational Demands:**

• Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects up to **50 pounds** independently, and heavier loads with assistance.
• Navigate various work environments, including stairs, ramps, ladders, and overhead/below-knee areas, requiring agility and flexibility.
• Work in diverse conditions, from indoor facilities to outdoor landscaping, with exposure to varying weather and operational challenges.

**Qualifications and Certifications:**

• **Education:** High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• **Experience:** Proven experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, painting, and interior/exterior repairs. Prior experience in **hotel engineering or maintenance** is highly preferred.
• **Certifications:** Valid driver’s license required.
