In this strategic leadership role, you will collaborate closely with senior management to optimize budget allocation, capital expenditures, and preventative maintenance initiatives while upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and asset protection. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining the integrity of our buildings and grounds, ensuring operational continuity, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will span across multiple critical domains, including:

• Strategic Operations Management: Assist in developing and executing comprehensive preventative maintenance programs, ensuring timely and high-quality execution of repair work orders. Supervise the distribution and tracking of maintenance tasks, both internally and through external contractors, while maintaining strict adherence to property policies and operational standards.
• Facility and Infrastructure Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of engineering and related departments, including HVAC systems, electrical infrastructure, plumbing, refrigeration, water treatment, and life safety systems. Act as a key operational leader in the absence of the Director of Engineering, ensuring seamless continuity and responsiveness.
• Budget and Resource Optimization: Collaborate with management to allocate resources effectively, recommend cost-saving measures, and procure new equipment, supplies, and furnishings to support facility needs. Ensure all assets are maintained in optimal condition while aligning expenditures with organizational goals.
• Emergency Preparedness and Response: Serve as a 24/7 emergency responder, operating critical systems such as generators and fire pumps, and addressing urgent repairs or maintenance issues with urgency and precision.
• Employee Development and Engagement: Foster a culture of excellence by training employees in safety protocols, performance expectations, and operational best practices. Lead departmental orientation programs, conduct performance appraisals, and facilitate open communication channels to align team efforts with organizational objectives.
• Guest and Employee Experience Enhancement: Champion a guest-centric approach by empowering staff to deliver exceptional service. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring that every interaction reflects our commitment to quality and satisfaction.
• Compliance and Documentation: Maintain accurate records, logs, and documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards, local regulations, and internal policies. Support disciplinary processes and peer review initiatives to uphold professional integrity and accountability.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a blend of technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for operational excellence. Ideal candidates will meet one of the following criteria:

• Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent, combined with four years of experience in engineering, maintenance, or a related professional field. Must include technical training in HVAC-R, electrical systems, or plumbing.
• Alternative Pathway: An associate degree from an accredited institution in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or a related discipline, paired with two years of relevant experience in engineering or maintenance, along with technical training in HVAC-R, electrical, or plumbing systems.
