Network Administrator – Secure Network Solutions Specialist

Join Trace Systems as a **Network Administrator** to deliver cutting-edge network infrastructure support for the **USMTM CITS contract** in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will ensure the seamless operation of **highly secure, resilient, and mission-critical LAN, WAN, routing, and switching environments** across both classified and unclassified networks. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining enterprise-grade network services, including voice, video, and mission-partner connectivity, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents and implement strategic upgrades.

As a key member of this mission-driven team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding and optimizing network performance for government and defense operations. Your responsibilities will span **installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting** of Cisco and other government-approved network hardware and software, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security. You will also lead **change management, incident response, and disaster recovery efforts**, aligning with strict compliance and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Maintain Secure Networks: Oversee the installation, configuration, and administration of **Cisco routers, switches, access-control systems, and network appliances** to support NIPRNet, SIPRNet, voice, video, and mission-critical services.
  • Advanced Network Configuration: Implement and manage **VLANs, trunks, spanning tree protocols, routing, port security, segmentation, and Quality of Service (QoS)** to ensure optimal network performance and security.
  • Proactive Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Utilize **government-approved network management tools** to monitor availability, utilization, and performance, while conducting fault isolation, root-cause analysis, and rapid outage resolution.
  • Change and Incident Management: Lead **configuration control, change-management processes, and incident escalations** in collaboration with higher-level organizations, including RCC-SWA, USARCENT, CENTCOM, NETCOM, and DISA.
  • Compliance and Security: Maintain **approved software versions, firmware updates, configuration backups, and audit trails** while supporting **STIG implementation, vulnerability remediation, and cybersecurity audits**.
  • Project and Infrastructure Support: Assist in **network expansions, office reconfigurations, technology refreshes, and enterprise upgrades**, developing implementation schedules, test plans, and risk assessments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with **Systems, Voice, VTC, Desktop, Cybersecurity, and OSP/ISP teams** to resolve complex network and application connectivity issues.
  • Documentation and Planning: Maintain **network diagrams, topology maps, IP/VLAN records, circuit inventories, and disaster recovery procedures** to ensure operational continuity.
  • Emergency and On-Call Support: Participate in **maintenance windows, authorized service interruptions, and emergency recall rotations** to ensure 24/7 network availability.

Minimum Qualifications:

This role requires a **highly skilled professional** with the following qualifications:

  • Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a **U.S. Government-issued Secret security clearance**. An **Interim Secret clearance** is mandatory prior to contract commencement. Continued employment is contingent upon clearance attainment.
  • Citizenship Requirement: **U.S. Citizenship is mandatory** due to the nature of the contract and security requirements.
  • Experience: **Four (4) or more years** of progressively responsible experience in **enterprise network administration**, with hands-on expertise in **Cisco routing and switching technologies**.
  • DoD 8140 Compliance: Must meet **DoD 8140 qualification requirements** for the **441 Network Operations Specialist (Intermediate Proficiency Level)**. Eligibility can be demonstrated through **education, military training, certifications, or a combination thereof**.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in **Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Information Systems**, or completion of **relevant military communications/network training**.
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include **Security+, CySA+, SSCP, GSEC, CEH, CCNA, or other DoD-approved credentials**. Higher proficiency-level certifications are also acceptable.
  • Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of **TCP/IP, VLANs, trunks, routing protocols, segmentation, access control, QoS, and network monitoring tools**. Experience with **wireless networks, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and application connectivity troubleshooting** is a plus.
