Tabby is seeking a visionary and strategic Lead, Information Security (Defensive) to spearhead our organization’s cybersecurity initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, and oversee robust defensive security frameworks to protect our digital infrastructure, customer data, and intellectual property against evolving cyber threats. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will drive a culture of security awareness, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with global regulatory standards.

As the architect of Tabby’s defensive security posture, you will lead a team of security professionals, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and proactive threat intelligence to mitigate risks before they materialize. Your expertise will be instrumental in fortifying our systems against sophisticated attacks, including ransomware, phishing, and insider threats, while aligning security strategies with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive defensive security strategy that aligns with Tabby’s growth and operational needs, ensuring resilience against cyber threats.
• Threat Intelligence & Risk Management: Monitor global cybersecurity trends, assess vulnerabilities, and implement proactive measures to neutralize threats before they impact our systems.
• Security Architecture & Compliance: Design and oversee the implementation of secure network architectures, access controls, and encryption protocols, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulatory frameworks.
• Incident Response & Recovery: Lead incident response efforts, conduct post-mortem analyses, and develop improvement plans to enhance our defensive capabilities.
• Team Development: Build and mentor a high-performing security team, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritizes innovation and continuous learning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with IT, product, and business teams to embed security best practices into development lifecycles and operational workflows.
• Technology & Tool Optimization: Evaluate and deploy advanced security tools, such as SIEM, EDR, and threat detection platforms, to enhance our defensive capabilities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven track record of 10+ years in information security, with a focus on defensive strategies and incident response.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing security frameworks, including ISO 27001, NIST, and other global compliance standards.
• Deep knowledge of cybersecurity tools, methodologies, and threat landscapes, including SIEM, EDR, and advanced threat detection technologies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor teams and drive organizational change.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly preferred.
