• Security Software Development: Design, build, deploy, and maintain scalable security tools and platforms that enhance detection, monitoring, response, and remediation capabilities. Apply software engineering principles to automate security processes, improving efficiency and reliability.
• Threat Detection and Incident Response: Monitor security environments, identify emerging threats, and lead incident investigations with precision. Develop and execute remediation strategies to mitigate risks and strengthen our overall security posture.
• Security Architecture and Tooling: Evaluate existing security controls and recommend or implement enhancements to align with frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001. Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and modern orchestration platforms like Kubernetes to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
• Mentorship and Collaboration: Guide and uplift early-career Security Operations engineers by sharing technical expertise and fostering a collaborative, agile engineering environment. Work closely with cross-functional teams to address complex security challenges and drive organizational resilience.
• Open-Source Contributions: Contribute to the global security community by participating in open-source projects, sharing threat intelligence, publishing research, or presenting at industry conferences. Your insights will help shape the future of cybersecurity practices.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a **highly experienced professional** with a proven expertise in cybersecurity and software engineering. Ideal candidates will meet the following criteria:

• 10+ Years of Relevant Experience: A robust background in cybersecurity, with substantial experience in Security Operations Centers (SOCs) or equivalent environments. Demonstrated success in leading security initiatives, incident response, and threat detection.
• Software Engineering Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience in developing and maintaining security tools using scripting languages such as Python and Bash. Familiarity with version control systems like Git, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Security Operations Expertise: Deep understanding of security monitoring, threat hunting, incident response, and defensive security practices. Experience working in high-impact security environments and the ability to respond effectively to sophisticated threats.
• Technical Leadership and Collaboration: Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. A track record of mentoring engineers and influencing technical strategy within cross-functional teams.
