In this pivotal role, you will serve as a technical leader and hands-on expert in suspension structural systems, ensuring seamless integration from vehicle launch through series production. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving vehicle quality, safety, durability, and manufacturing efficiency while collaborating across disciplines to resolve critical issues and optimize performance.

Key Responsibilities

Your work will span multiple critical phases of vehicle development and production, ensuring Lucid’s vehicles meet the highest standards of engineering and manufacturing excellence:

• Production Support & Issue Resolution
  - Act as the primary plant engineering authority for front/rear knuckles, control arms, subframes, suspension links, bushings, and wheel carriers, ensuring flawless execution from prototype to production.
  - Lead comprehensive investigations into build, fit-up, dimensional, durability, and quality concerns, implementing swift containment actions and driving permanent corrective measures.
  - Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Supplier Quality—to minimize downtime and escalations, ensuring smooth production flow.
  - Participate in daily production meetings and escalation reviews to address real-time challenges and maintain operational continuity.
• Launch & Program Support
  - Provide technical leadership during prototype, Development Vehicle (DV), Pre-Production Vehicle (PV), and production builds, ensuring alignment with engineering specifications.
  - Coordinate engineering change releases and plant implementation plans, tracking launch issues to ensure timely resolution and closure.
  - Support vehicle build events and launch reviews, contributing to the successful ramp-up of production while maintaining rigorous quality standards.
• Dimensional & Manufacturing Engineering
  - Lead dimensional variation analysis and build quality improvement initiatives, addressing stack-up, tolerance, and alignment challenges.
  - Partner with manufacturing teams to enhance assembly robustness, reduce rework, and eliminate scrap associated with chassis structures.
  - Drive the implementation of poka-yoke (mistake-proofing) and process improvements to streamline production workflows.
• Structural Performance, Supplier Quality & Continuous Improvement
  - Support validation sign-off activities and production readiness reviews, ensuring all components meet design and durability requirements.
  - Interface directly with suspension structure suppliers, leading technical reviews for quality, production, dimensional, and durability concerns.
  - Collaborate with suppliers to implement containment actions and corrective measures, participating in audits and launch readiness reviews.
  - Develop predictive quality monitoring strategies using production and warranty data to proactively address potential issues.
• Sustaining Engineering
  - Oversee the design and development of automotive chassis components and assemblies, ensuring they deliver superior performance, durability, and manufacturability.
  - Work closely with core engineering teams to release new parts for quality or process improvements, ensuring compliance with all validation requirements.
