Qualifications and Competencies

To excel in this role, you must bring a blend of clinical expertise, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to resident welfare:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required, with a Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field strongly preferred. Advanced certifications in long-term care, quality management, or healthcare leadership are a plus.
• Licensure: Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the provincial regulatory body. Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing is highly valued.
• Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading care teams in high-performing environments. Experience in staffing management, budget oversight, and quality improvement initiatives is essential.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of provincial healthcare regulations, accreditation standards (e.g., ISO, CMS), and labor/employment laws. Ability to navigate compliance complexities with precision and foresight.
