As a Mechanical Technician / Mechanic, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of mechanical systems and equipment essential to well logging and evaluation processes. Key Responsibilities:

• On-Site Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on mechanical equipment used in open-hole well logging operations. Ensure all systems are operational, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.
• Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving: Diagnose mechanical issues promptly and implement effective solutions to minimize operational disruptions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges in real-time.
• Equipment Calibration and Optimization: Conduct regular calibration and performance testing of mechanical components to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Recommend improvements to enhance system functionality and reduce wear and tear.
• Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to maintain a secure working environment. Conduct risk assessments and ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance. Prepare comprehensive reports for management, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
• Field Support and Training: Assist in on-site installations, disassemblies, and reassemblies of mechanical systems. Provide technical guidance and training to junior team members or contractors as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) as a Mechanical Technician or Mechanic, preferably in the oil and gas, well logging, or related industrial sectors. Familiarity with open-hole well operations is a significant advantage.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including pumps, compressors, valves, and drilling equipment. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power equipment.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Ability to analyze complex mechanical issues, apply logical reasoning, and implement effective solutions under pressure.
• Field Experience: Experience working in remote or challenging field conditions, including Saudi Arabia’s operational environment. Physical stamina and adaptability are essential.
• Certifications: Possession of relevant certifications such as OSHA, HSE, or industry-specific mechanical certifications is highly desirable.
• Team Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in diverse teams, including engineers, technicians, and field personnel.
• Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (both written and spoken) and Arabic is a strong asset, given the location in Saudi Arabia.
