As a Senior Specialist in Environmental Audit, you will be responsible for leading and executing comprehensive environmental audits, assessments, and compliance evaluations to align with international standards, regulatory requirements, and Qiddiya’s sustainability objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in identifying risks, optimizing resource efficiency, and ensuring that all operations adhere to the highest environmental and social governance (ESG) principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement environmental audit frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to assess compliance, performance, and sustainability initiatives across Qiddiya’s projects and operations.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full adherence to local, regional, and international environmental regulations, including but not limited to ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and other relevant ESG frameworks.
• Audit and Inspection: Conduct thorough environmental audits, inspections, and assessments to evaluate operational practices, identify non-conformities, and recommend corrective actions to mitigate environmental risks.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and sustainability officers, to integrate environmental considerations into planning, design, and execution phases.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare detailed audit reports, compliance documentation, and sustainability performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies and investors.
• Continuous Improvement: Drive the adoption of innovative environmental technologies and practices to enhance sustainability performance and reduce the carbon footprint of Qiddiya’s operations.
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs to raise environmental awareness and ensure all staff are equipped with the knowledge to uphold Qiddiya’s sustainability commitments.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in environmental auditing, compliance, or sustainability, with a strong preference for candidates with experience in large-scale infrastructure or entertainment projects.
• Proven expertise in conducting environmental audits, risk assessments, and compliance evaluations in accordance with international standards.
• Familiarity with environmental management systems (EMS) and ESG frameworks is essential.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex findings clearly and persuasively.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in environmental software, data analysis tools, and reporting platforms is a plus.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
