Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, ensuring both technical and operational excellence:

• Strategic Development and Customization: Lead the development and customization of Liferay Portal solutions using advanced Hooks and EXT Plug-ins, with a deep understanding of their practical applications to enhance portal functionality and user experience.
• Integration and Web Services: Design, develop, and consume Web Services to facilitate seamless integrations, ensuring interoperability across diverse systems and platforms.
• System Architecture and Design: Collaborate in the architectural design of major system components, ensuring they meet stringent technical, functional, performance, and business requirements. Contribute to the creation of comprehensive High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation to guide development efforts and maintain consistency.
• Project Oversight and Issue Resolution: Actively monitor project timelines, track task statuses, and proactively identify potential roadblocks. Develop and implement corrective strategies to mitigate risks and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement by aligning with international best practices and industry standards. Contribute to the preparation of accurate, data-driven reports that support informed decision-making.
• Compliance and Governance: Adhere to all departmental policies, standard operating procedures, and industry regulations to ensure work is executed in a controlled, consistent, and compliant manner. Uphold the highest standards of information security, data integrity, and confidentiality to safeguard sensitive information.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of academic rigor and hands-on experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science, with a specialization in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: 4+ years of proven experience in J2EE Web Application Development, demonstrating a strong track record of delivering scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Technical Proficiency: In-depth knowledge and experience with:
• Java-based technologies such as JSP, Servlets, Struts, AJAX, EJB, and JDBC.
• Web Services and JSR-168 Portlets for seamless integrations.
• Liferay Portal development, including advanced customization techniques.
• Database Development with expertise in MS SQL Server (preferred).
