Key Responsibilities

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of financial leadership, including:

• Strategic Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of statutory and management financial statements, ensuring full compliance with IFRS and Saudi regulatory requirements. Lead month-end and year-end closings with meticulous attention to detail, delivering timely and accurate financial insights.
• Complex Transaction Analysis: Assess and determine the appropriate accounting treatment for high-impact, non-routine transactions, providing clear and well-documented technical justifications. Develop position papers and accounting policies that align with evolving standards and business needs.
• Group Consolidation Leadership: Lead the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, managing intercompany reconciliations, eliminations, and disclosures with precision. Ensure the integrity of consolidated financials and supporting schedules, enabling data-driven decision-making.
• Audit and Compliance Coordination: Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, addressing technical queries, findings, and recommendations with professionalism and efficiency. Collaborate to resolve audit issues while maintaining strong auditor relationships.
• Process Optimization and Automation: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance internal controls, and leverage technology—such as ERP systems and advanced Excel—to improve efficiency and scalability. Drive continuous improvement in reporting and operational workflows.
• Team Development and Mentorship: Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to accounting team members, fostering a high-performing culture. Empower the team to deliver excellence while adapting to evolving financial landscapes.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner closely with Finance, business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure accounting considerations are integrated into strategic initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and operational decisions.
• Regulatory Vigilance: Stay ahead of IFRS updates and regulatory changes, assessing their potential impact on financial reporting, policies, and internal controls. Proactively recommend adjustments to maintain compliance and mitigate risks.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking a high-caliber financial leader with a proven track record in accounting, financial reporting, and audit. Ideal candidates will possess:

• 7–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, or financial reporting, with a focus on IFRS compliance and complex financial transactions.
• ACCA or CPA certification, demonstrating a commitment to professional excellence and technical rigor.
• Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred, reflecting a background in high-stakes financial environments and audit leadership.
• Deep expertise in group consolidation, intercompany accounting, and the preparation of consolidated financial statements, with a keen eye for detail and reconciliation.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain accounting policies, ensuring alignment with IFRS and local regulatory frameworks.
• Strong audit management skills, including the ability to resolve technical matters, address auditor findings, and maintain transparent communication.
• Advanced educational background, including a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Current residency in Saudi Arabia, with preference given to candidates based in Riyadh.
• Technical and Soft Skills:
• Mastery of IFRS, consolidation accounting, and intercompany eliminations.
• Exceptional month-end and year-end close management skills, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to analyze complex transactions and articulate clear, defensible accounting conclusions.
• Strong understanding of internal controls, governance, and financial processes.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and hands-on experience with ERP and accounting systems.
• Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, balancing strategic thinking with operational execution.
