Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Architect and Implement Scalable Platform Solutions: Design and deploy high-performance, resilient, and secure platform architectures that support enterprise applications and digital services. Ensure these solutions are optimized for scalability, availability, and performance to meet evolving business needs.
• Define and Enforce Platform Standards: Establish and enforce technical standards, best practices, and engineering patterns to maintain consistency, reliability, and efficiency across the platform. Drive adoption of modern infrastructure practices and automation frameworks.
• Advance Infrastructure Automation: Develop and enhance Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) capabilities, leveraging tools and methodologies to automate provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes. Reduce manual intervention and minimize human error through robust automation pipelines.
• Optimize CI/CD and Developer Tooling: Design and refine continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) platforms, ensuring rapid, reliable, and secure delivery of applications. Enhance developer tooling to improve productivity, collaboration, and code quality.
• Drive Containerization and Orchestration: Champion containerization strategies and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes) to enable scalable, portable, and efficient application deployments. Optimize cloud and hybrid environments for maximum performance and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure Platform Security and Resilience: Implement and enforce security best practices to protect the platform from vulnerabilities and threats. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Resolve Complex Technical Challenges: Lead the technical resolution of intricate platform and infrastructure issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable solutions. Conduct root-cause analysis and propose improvements to prevent recurrence.
• Empower Developer Self-Service: Develop self-service capabilities that enable engineering teams to provision resources, deploy applications, and monitor performance independently. Reduce dependency on platform teams and accelerate time-to-market for new features.
• Evaluate and Modernize Technologies: Continuously assess emerging technologies and platforms, recommending upgrades or modernizations that enhance efficiency, security, and scalability. Stay ahead of industry trends to ensure the platform remains competitive and future-proof.
• Mentor and Guide Engineers: Provide advanced technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. Act as a subject matter expert in platform engineering and cloud technologies.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner closely with architecture, cybersecurity, cloud, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), and application engineering teams to align platform strategies with business objectives. Facilitate cross-team communication and coordination to deliver cohesive solutions.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, you will bring:

• A **Bachelor’s Degree** in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. A **Master’s Degree** or advanced certifications are highly preferred.
• Proven experience in designing and managing scalable, cloud-native platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) with expertise in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, ArgoCD), and developer tooling (Git, IDEs, monitoring tools).
• Strong understanding of security principles, compliance frameworks, and best practices for securing enterprise platforms.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to define and implement platform strategies.
• Professional certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, or Kubernetes certifications) are a significant advantage.
