Key Responsibilities

As the **Capital Subject Matter Expert** for CIB, your expertise will be instrumental in:

• Advancing Capital Efficiency: Lead the analysis and optimization of key financial metrics, including **RWA, RoRWA (Return on Risk-Weighted Assets), RoTE (Return on Tangible Equity), Density, and Capital Velocity**, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. Collaborate with **Relationship Managers** to refine lending strategies, reducing capital consumption while maintaining profitability.
• Driving Data-Driven Decisions: Own and oversee **Omnia Returns Calculator**, ensuring its calculations align with **SAB’s regulatory reporting methodologies**. Serve as the **Final Approver** for loan pricing decisions, leveraging data to advise senior management on transaction comparables and portfolio-level trends, including **margin compression, spread leakage, and sector-specific yield analysis**.
• Strategic Capital Allocation: Act as a key decision-maker in **Deal Prioritization Committees**, challenging business cases and recommending **portfolio-level capital reallocation** based on risk-adjusted returns and strategic priorities. Ensure robust **operational controls** for loan margins and data integrity to support accurate regulatory reporting.
• Portfolio Optimization: Identify and address **low-returning client segments**, working closely with **Coverage teams** to develop actionable plans for enhancing profitability. Monitor and manage **RWA caps**, ensuring compliance while maximizing efficiency.
• Regulatory & Strategic Compliance: Contribute to critical internal processes, including **ICAAP (Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process), ILAAP (Internal Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process), Recovery & Resolution Planning, and Pre-ALCO (Pre-Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses)**. Your insights will be vital in shaping the bank’s capital and liquidity strategies.
