Key Responsibilities

As the IT Infrastructure Designer, your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Design and Planning: Develop comprehensive IT infrastructure designs that align with international aviation standards, ensuring scalability, reliability, and future-proofing for airport environments.
• Technical Review and Coordination: Evaluate and refine ICT design deliverables, including concept designs, detailed schematics, IFC models, shop drawings, and all related technical documentation to ensure precision and compliance.
• System Integration and Optimization: Coordinate ICT/ELV (Electrical, Low Voltage) systems such as structured cabling, fiber networks, data networks, Wi-Fi, CCTV, access control, fire alarm systems, IP telephony, and digital signage to create a cohesive and high-performance infrastructure.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with architecture, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), structural, security, and operational teams to resolve design clashes, interface issues, and coordination challenges, ensuring seamless integration across all project disciplines.
• Risk Mitigation and Problem-Solving: Identify design gaps, potential vulnerabilities, and technical challenges, proposing innovative solutions that enhance both functionality and security.
• Tender and Value Engineering Support: Assist in the review of tenders, technical evaluations, and value engineering initiatives to optimize costs and performance while maintaining the highest standards of quality.
• Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technical reports, coordination notes, and meeting inputs to facilitate informed decision-making and ensure smooth project progression from design through to commissioning and handover.
• Compliance and Standards Adherence: Ensure all designs adhere to global aviation standards, cybersecurity protocols, and industry best practices, including data center classifications (Tier 1-4) and IT/OT (Information Technology/Operational Technology) segregation.
• Project Execution Oversight: Review testing reports, commissioning documents, O&M (Operations & Maintenance) manuals, warranties, training records, and asset registers to guarantee seamless implementation and long-term operational excellence.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must bring a blend of technical expertise, industry-specific knowledge, and a collaborative mindset. We are seeking a candidate with:

• Advanced Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, complemented by a deep understanding of IT infrastructure and smart building technologies.
• Proven Expertise in Aviation Infrastructure: Minimum 10 years of experience in ICT/ELV design and coordination, with a strong focus on airport systems, smart buildings, and complex infrastructure projects. Prior experience in aviation environments is highly preferred.
• End-to-End Project Experience: Hands-on experience across all project stages, including concept design, detailed design, IFC modeling, shop drawings, as-built documentation, testing, commissioning, and handover processes.
• Specialized Knowledge Areas: In-depth familiarity with data center design requirements, cybersecurity protocols, physical security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection), and network segregation to ensure robust and secure infrastructure.
• Multidisciplinary Coordination: Exceptional ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, and operational stakeholders, to align technical solutions with broader project goals.
• Technical and Documentation Proficiency: Strong command of international standards, project documentation practices, and the ability to prepare clear, concise, and actionable reports for stakeholders.
• Problem-Solving and Innovation: A proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing creative, technically sound solutions that enhance both performance and user experience.
