Key Responsibilities:
Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of technical and leadership responsibilities, including:
- End-to-End Design Leadership: Oversee the full lifecycle of mechanical system design, from initial client briefing through to detailed engineering, ensuring alignment with **local KSA/UAE regulations**, international standards (BS, IEC, NFPA), and client-specific requirements.
- Technical Compliance and Review: Conduct rigorous technical reviews of design drawings, specifications, and calculations to guarantee adherence to **industry best practices, legal frameworks, and project objectives**.
- BIM and Coordination Excellence: Collaborate closely with the **Building Information Modeling (BIM) team** to refine coordinated drawings and single-line diagrams, fostering seamless integration across all mechanical systems.
- Problem-Solving and Clarification: Proactively raise and follow up on **Requests for Information (RFIs)** to resolve ambiguities with clients or consultants, ensuring clarity and precision in project execution.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a technical liaison between the **Technical Director, estimation teams, and on-site teams**, presenting designs and coordinating adjustments based on real-world conditions or MEP interface challenges.
- Innovation and Value Engineering: Drive **value-engineering initiatives** by evaluating and recommending cost-effective, high-performance solutions without compromising safety or functionality.
- Tender Phase Coordination: Engage with estimation teams during the tendering phase to ensure technical feasibility, accuracy, and competitive positioning of project deliverables.
- Holistic Engineering Approach: Adopt a **big-picture mindset** to select and apply engineering concepts, balancing technical rigor with practicality to deliver robust, future-proof solutions.
This role demands a blend of **technical mastery, collaborative leadership, and adaptability**—ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced, mission-driven environments where precision and innovation are paramount.
Qualifications and Experience:
To excel in this position, you will bring:
- A **Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline** from a recognized institution.
- **Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience** in **construction projects**, with a strong preference for **Data Centre or Mission-Critical Projects**—where your expertise will have immediate impact.
- **Deep technical knowledge** of mechanical systems, including **CHW, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection**, with a focus on optimizing performance and reliability.
- Proficiency in **industry-leading software**, including **AutoCAD, Revit (for coordination and MTO review), and Navisworks**, to streamline design and collaboration processes.
- **Microsoft Office proficiency** for documentation, reporting, and project management tasks.
- A **collaborative and problem-solving mindset**, with exceptional **communication skills** to bridge gaps between technical teams, clients, and stakeholders.
- **Familiarity with Middle East codes and standards** is a significant advantage, though not mandatory for candidates with equivalent international experience.
- The ability to **operate effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment**, where adaptability and ownership are key to success.
If you are a detail-oriented engineer passionate about delivering **high-integrity mechanical solutions** in critical infrastructure, we invite you to bring your expertise to our team in Dammam. Your contributions will shape the future of mission-critical projects in the region.
