Key Responsibilities:

• Data Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain scalable big data architectures, including Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and efficient data processing workflows.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval systems to enhance speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency. Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to support business growth.
• Data Governance & Security: Enforce data security policies, access controls, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001) to safeguard sensitive information. Collaborate with IT and security teams to mitigate risks and ensure data integrity.
• Automation & Tooling: Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Bash, or SQL) to streamline data administration tasks, such as backups, migrations, and monitoring. Leverage tools like Apache Kafka, Hive, or Presto for efficient data management.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to align data solutions with strategic objectives. Provide technical guidance and troubleshoot complex data issues to ensure smooth operations.
• Disaster Recovery & Backup: Implement and test disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime and data loss. Oversee regular backups and restore procedures to maintain business continuity.
