SAP Basis Administrator – Lead the Backbone of Our Digital Infrastructure

As our SAP Basis Administrator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the stability, scalability, and efficiency of our SAP environments. This position demands a deep understanding of SAP system architecture, troubleshooting expertise, and a proactive approach to system administration. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, development, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-performance SAP solutions that drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Administration and Maintenance: Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems, including SAP NetWeaver, ABAP, and Java stacks. Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and system performance optimization to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Performance Tuning: Monitor and analyze system performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance SAP system responsiveness and scalability.
• Security Management: Enforce robust security protocols, including user authorization, role management, and audit logging, to protect sensitive data and comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Upgrade and Migration Support: Lead and assist in SAP system upgrades, patches, and migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining data integrity.
• Troubleshooting and Incident Resolution: Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across SAP modules, leveraging your expertise in system logs, error handling, and diagnostic tools.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with development, quality assurance, and business teams to align SAP system configurations with business needs. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
• Capacity Planning: Assess current and future system requirements, recommend infrastructure upgrades, and ensure alignment with organizational growth and technological advancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, with a preference for relevant certifications such as SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Basis Administrator.
• Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as an SAP Basis Administrator or in a similar system administration role within enterprise environments.
• In-depth knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, including ABAP and Java-based applications, along with expertise in OS administration (Linux/Unix, Windows), databases (Oracle, SQL Server), and network protocols.
• Strong proficiency in SAP system monitoring tools, such as ST03N, SM50, SM13, and SMGW, as well as diagnostic tools like SPADE, SAP Solution Manager, and ST05.
• Experience with SAP deployment strategies, including ASAP methodology, system copies, and transport management (SCT, STMS).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues efficiently.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, documenting processes clearly and concisely.
• Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and experience with hybrid SAP deployments is a plus.
