Key Responsibilities

As the **Medical Advisor Oncology/Specialty**, your role will be multifaceted, blending strategic insight with hands-on medical leadership. Your responsibilities will include:

• Strategic Medical Advocacy: Act as the authoritative medical voice for AbbVie’s oncology and specialty products in Saudi Arabia, providing evidence-based guidance to key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and external experts. Collaborate closely with the Affiliate Medical Director to integrate medical affairs strategies with commercial initiatives, ensuring alignment with AbbVie’s global and local business objectives.
• Scientific Leadership and Knowledge Dissemination: Maintain and expand your expertise in oncology and specialty therapies through continuous engagement with internal training programs, scientific congresses, and peer-reviewed literature. Translate complex medical insights into actionable strategies, supporting the development of critical dossiers such as pricing and reimbursement submissions, health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), and medical information packs.
• Expert Engagement and Relationship Management: Build and sustain credible relationships with External Experts (EEs), academic centers, and thought leaders in the oncology community. Participate in scientific forums, advisory boards, and roundtable discussions to foster collaboration and ensure AbbVie’s products are positioned as leaders in evidence-based care.
• Medical Education and Training: Deliver impactful scientific presentations and educational programs to healthcare professionals, both individually and in group settings. Develop and refine training materials to empower AbbVie’s sales teams and internal departments with the latest medical knowledge, ensuring consistent and compliant communication across all touchpoints.
• Clinical Research and Innovation: Lead and oversee clinical research initiatives, including Phase IV studies, post-marketing observational studies, and epidemiological surveys. Work closely with the Clinical Research Department to review protocols, identify key investigators, and conduct feasibility assessments, ensuring studies adhere to rigorous scientific and regulatory standards.
• Compliance and Regulatory Excellence: Ensure all medical and scientific communications—whether promotional or non-promotional—adhere to AbbVie’s internal policies, local regulations, and global best practices. Act as a guardian of compliance, safeguarding AbbVie’s reputation while driving ethical and transparent medical engagement.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a bridge between medical affairs, commercial teams, and other functional groups, integrating medical insights into broader business strategies.
