Key Responsibilities

As our Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Architect and Lead Infrastructure Design: Design, implement, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructure using industry-leading technologies such as Cisco and Huawei, encompassing LAN, WAN, wireless networks (WLAN), VPN, and Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN) to ensure seamless connectivity and scalability.
• Cloud and Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Oversee and optimize our Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and integration with on-premises systems. Drive hybrid infrastructure initiatives to enhance flexibility and resilience.
• Cybersecurity and Compliance: Configure, manage, and fortify Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and other security controls to mitigate risks and align with industry best practices. Lead vulnerability assessments, coordinate penetration testing, and drive remediation efforts to bolster our cybersecurity posture.
• Performance and Reliability: Monitor infrastructure health, diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, and ensure 24/7 availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity. Implement proactive measures to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
• Documentation and Process Improvement: Develop and maintain comprehensive network diagrams, technical documentation, operational procedures, and standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and ease of maintenance. Continuously refine processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risks.
• Project Leadership and Mentorship: Lead infrastructure enhancement projects, provide technical guidance to junior engineers, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Act as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and best practices to elevate team capabilities.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with application, cybersecurity, and business teams to align IT infrastructure with organizational goals. Translate technical requirements into actionable solutions that support business objectives while maintaining security and compliance.
• Innovation and Strategic Planning: Evaluate emerging technologies and trends, recommending improvements to enhance infrastructure performance, security, and scalability. Stay ahead of the curve by exploring advancements in networking, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.

Qualifications and Experience

To excel in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network and infrastructure engineering, with a proven track record of leading complex projects and driving operational excellence.
• Deep expertise in Cisco and Huawei networking technologies, including routing, switching, wireless networking, VPN, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, and network security frameworks.
• Extensive experience managing Fortinet firewalls, VPN solutions, and enterprise network security, including IDS/IPS, network segmentation, and security hardening.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid cloud environments, virtualization platforms (VMware or Hyper-V), backup solutions, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA environments, ensuring optimal infrastructure and connectivity to support enterprise resource planning (ERP) operations.
• Strong background in vulnerability management, penetration testing coordination, and infrastructure security hardening to preemptively address threats and ensure compliance.
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP environments and a keen understanding of how infrastructure impacts business-critical applications.
• Bonus: Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell or Python for automation, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Preferred Certifications

While not mandatory, the following certifications will strengthen your candidacy:

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security
• Huawei HCIP or HCIE
• Fortinet NSE or FCSS
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect
• CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
