As the SAP Basis & Security Lead, you will serve as the technical architect and mentor for our SAP Basis team, guiding them toward achieving peak performance while adhering to strict service-level agreements (SLAs). Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and executing high-impact initiatives, including system upgrades, database migrations, kernel updates, and patch implementations—ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. You will also play a critical role in fortifying our SAP security framework, managing user authorization, transport management, and audit compliance to safeguard our systems against evolving threats.

This role demands a strategic thinker with a deep technical acumen and a proven track record in leading SAP Basis operations. You will be responsible for:

• Technical Leadership: Direct the administration, monitoring, and performance tuning of our SAP landscapes, including S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, ALM, and Cloud Connector, ensuring optimal functionality and scalability.
• Strategic Upgrades and Migrations: Lead the planning, execution, and post-implementation support for system upgrades, refreshes, kernel updates, and database migrations, minimizing disruption while maximizing value.
• High Availability and Disaster Recovery: Oversee the implementation of robust backup and recovery strategies, high-availability setups, and regular disaster recovery drills to guarantee business continuity.
• Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce stringent SAP security protocols, including user authorization, role management, and audit compliance, aligning with regulatory requirements.
• Team Mentorship and SLA Compliance: Mentor and assign tasks to internal Basis engineers, fostering a collaborative environment while ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational best practices.
• Operational Excellence: Continuously evaluate and refine operational guidelines, leveraging your expertise to drive efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance system resilience.

To thrive in this role, you will bring:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, complemented by 10+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience, with a proven leadership track record as a SAP Basis or Technical Lead.
• Expertise in SAP Basis administration, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning, with deep knowledge of S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, and SAP HANA environments.
• Strong proficiency in SAP Security, including user authorization, role management, and audit compliance protocols, ensuring robust system protection.
• Experience managing SAP Basis teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring SLA compliance in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, as well as backup and recovery methodologies to mitigate operational risks.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, enabling you to navigate diverse technical landscapes with confidence.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams, drive strategic initiatives, and translate technical complexities into actionable insights.
