In this strategic position, you will serve as the senior commercial authority, guiding the programme with unwavering expertise while acting as a trusted advisor to senior leadership. Your responsibilities will span the entire spectrum of commercial governance, ensuring alignment between financial objectives, operational execution, and stakeholder expectations.

As the cornerstone of commercial oversight, you will establish and enforce robust governance frameworks, driving transparency, accountability, and efficiency across the entire portfolio, programmes, districts, and projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping commercial strategies that deliver measurable value while mitigating financial risks and optimising resource allocation.

Key Responsibilities & Strategic Deliverables

• Comprehensive Commercial Governance: Lead the development and enforcement of commercial policies, ensuring adherence to best practices in cost management, financial reporting, and governance across all levels of the programme.
• Strategic Financial Reporting: Oversee the creation of high-impact reports, including the Monthly Commercial Dashboard, Programme Cost Report, and Executive Commercial Report, providing leadership with real-time insights for informed decision-making.
• Portfolio-Level Financial Oversight: Manage the Portfolio Cashflow Forecast and Annual Budget Consolidation, ensuring alignment with strategic financial targets and stakeholder expectations.
• Data-Driven Decision Support: Develop and maintain Cost Benchmarking Reports, Claims and Disputes Reports, and Cost Risk & Opportunity Reports to identify trends, mitigate risks, and capitalise on strategic opportunities.
• Board-Level Commercial Insights: Provide actionable inputs for board discussions, ensuring commercial strategies are integrated into high-level decision-making processes.
• Regulatory & Compliance Leadership: Manage submissions for PIF/Treasury Commercial Requirements and oversee the Value Engineering Benefits Register, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks while driving continuous improvement.
• Risk & Assurance Framework: Lead the Insurance, Bonds, and Guarantees Register, ensuring all financial safeguards are in place to protect the programme’s interests.
