Key Responsibilities

As the Purchasing Officer, you will be the linchpin between customers, internal teams, and market dynamics, ensuring that Syarah acquires high-quality vehicles at optimal prices while maintaining exceptional service standards. Your role will encompass:

• Strategic Sourcing and Negotiation: Evaluate and respond to customer inquiries regarding vehicle sales, leveraging market insights to determine competitive purchase prices. Conduct thorough assessments of vehicle conditions, market valuations, and negotiation parameters to secure favorable deals while upholding fairness and transparency.
• End-to-End Transaction Management: Coordinate with inspection teams to schedule and execute on-site vehicle evaluations, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Oversee the completion of all legal and administrative documentation with meticulous accuracy and timeliness, from contracts to transfer paperwork.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Maintain a comprehensive database of purchased vehicles, tracking transaction histories, market trends, and competitor activities. Utilize automotive valuation tools and analytics to refine purchasing strategies, maximizing ROI while minimizing risk.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with the sales and inventory teams to ensure a seamless flow of acquired vehicles into the marketplace. Align purchasing activities with broader business objectives, contributing to inventory optimization and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in automotive purchasing, coupled with a passion for innovation and operational efficiency. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in procurement or automotive industry specialization are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in vehicle purchasing, with a preference for experience within the automotive sector. Familiarity with digital transaction platforms and e-commerce models is highly advantageous.
• Technical and Analytical Skills: Proficiency in automotive valuation tools (e.g., Kelley Blue Book, local market databases) and market trend analysis. Strong numerical and analytical abilities to assess vehicle conditions, market fluctuations, and pricing strategies.
• Negotiation and Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills to secure favorable terms while maintaining positive relationships. Fluent verbal and written communication in both Arabic and English, with bilingual or multilingual candidates given preference.
