What You Will Achieve

As a Junior Planner, your responsibilities will span the entire spectrum of project planning and coordination. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, construction, and subcontractors, to ensure that every aspect of the project aligns with the approved schedule, budget, and quality standards. Your role will involve:

• Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using industry-leading software, ensuring that timelines are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project objectives.
• Monitoring progress meticulously by collecting daily and weekly updates from site teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to track actual performance against the baseline schedule.
• Identifying potential risks and delays proactively, analyzing their impact on project milestones, and assisting in the preparation of recovery plans to mitigate disruptions.
• Preparing comprehensive progress reports, dashboards, and schedule analyses to provide stakeholders with clear, actionable insights into project performance.
• Coordinating with senior planning staff and project managers to ensure that all project activities—from design deliverables to construction milestones—are executed in accordance with the approved sequences and timelines.
• Supporting key hospitality-specific activities, such as reviewing subcontractor schedules, preparing short-term look-ahead plans, and ensuring that all schedule updates reflect approved changes and variations.
• Maintaining organized documentation, including schedule revisions, project records, and meeting notes, to ensure transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.

• Holds a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, or a related field, with a passion for project execution.
• Possesses 2–5 years of relevant experience in project planning, construction planning, or project controls, with a preference for candidates who have worked on hospitality, commercial, residential, or fit-out projects.
• Is proficient in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar planning software, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office applications to analyze data and prepare reports.
• Understands critical path methodology, float, milestones, and schedule logic, enabling them to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project documents effectively.
• Demonstrates strong organizational and time-management skills, with an ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising on accuracy.
• Exhibits analytical and problem-solving abilities, allowing them to identify inefficiencies, propose solutions, and support delay analyses with data-driven insights.
• Communicates clearly and collaboratively, bridging gaps between technical teams, subcontractors, and senior management to ensure seamless project coordination.
• Embraces a proactive and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a multicultural team in dynamic project environments.
• Is willing to engage directly with project sites, gaining firsthand insights into field operations and contributing to on-ground progress tracking.
