We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Solutions Expert to play a pivotal role in implementing, optimizing, and supporting Roche’s advanced IT infrastructure and digital solutions across global customer sites. This dynamic position requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving acumen, and strong stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless integration, high-performance service delivery, and adherence to regulatory standards.

Your Impact

As a Digital Solutions Expert, you will be instrumental in delivering end-to-end IT support for Roche’s digital ecosystem, ensuring that our solutions enhance operational efficiency, data security, and clinical decision-making. Your responsibilities will span technical implementation, strategic consulting, and collaborative partnerships with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. Key contributions include:

• Technical Implementation & Optimization: Design, install, maintain, and troubleshoot Roche’s digital solutions at customer sites, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and compliance with industry standards.
• Strategic Consulting & Integration: Provide expert guidance on connectivity solutions, regulatory compliance (including GDPR), and security protocols to facilitate seamless integration of Roche’s digital products with Hospital/Laboratory Information Systems (HIS/LIS) using HL7 and ASTM standards. Align implementations within prescribed timelines and budgetary constraints.
• Sales & Presales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to deliver technical presentations, address IT requirements during sales visits, and participate in tendering and presales activities. Translate complex technical features into compelling customer benefits to drive adoption.
• Advanced Analytics & Data Flow: Implement Roche’s digital solutions to integrate analytics, pre-analytics, and post-analytics with sample and data workflows, enabling comprehensive lab solutions that enhance diagnostic accuracy and efficiency.
• Customer Training & Relationship Management: Conduct in-depth training sessions for customers on the proper use and troubleshooting of Roche’s digital systems, documenting sessions to ensure knowledge retention and compliance with Roche standards. Build strong relationships with customer HIS/LIS teams and stakeholders to foster long-term partnerships.
• Innovation & Escalation: Identify emerging business needs and escalate them to the RIS development team for continuous improvement. Stay ahead of industry trends in security policies, network design, and data protection to safeguard Roche’s digital infrastructure.

• Academic Foundation: A Bachelor of Science degree in IT, Computer Science, Automation, or Networking. A postgraduate degree or project management certification is highly advantageous.
• Technical Expertise: Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Healthcare IT, with hands-on knowledge of Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS). Proficiency in Windows OS, server environments, and network topology is essential.
• Protocol & Database Knowledge: Practical experience with HL7/ASTM protocols, database concepts (including SQL), and data protection regulations (GDPR). Familiarity with firewall solutions (e.g., Fortigate) is a plus.
• Roche-Specific Competency: In-depth understanding and hands-on experience with Roche’s IT solutions, particularly Navify Solutions, to ensure alignment with our product roadmap.
• Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under pressure. Proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
• Communication & Influence: Exceptional oral and written communication skills to convey technical insights persuasively. Ability to train customers, present to stakeholders, and collaborate effectively across teams.
