Key Responsibilities

As the Accountant at Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Financial Record-Keeping and Reporting: Prepare and maintain meticulous financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards. Generate comprehensive reports to support strategic decision-making and operational oversight.
• Transaction Management: Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable with unwavering precision. Process invoices, payments, and journal entries while adhering to Hyatt’s financial policies and procedures.
• Periodic Closings: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring all financial statements are accurate, timely, and ready for review by management and external auditors.
• Compliance and Auditing: Monitor financial transactions to ensure full compliance with local regulations, Hyatt’s internal controls, and industry best practices. Provide comprehensive documentation and support during internal and external audits.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads to develop and refine budgetary forecasts, aligning financial planning with the hotel’s strategic objectives.
• Confidentiality and Integrity: Uphold the strictest standards of confidentiality regarding all financial information, safeguarding sensitive data and maintaining the trust of stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, we seek a highly qualified candidate with a strong foundation in accounting and a proven track record of success in a hospitality or finance setting. Ideal candidates will possess:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of accounting experience, with a preference for candidates who have worked within the hospitality industry. Familiarity with hotel-specific financial challenges and solutions is a significant advantage.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex functions, pivot tables, and data analysis. Experience with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is highly desirable.
• Analytical and Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and propose actionable solutions. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting, transaction processing, and compliance documentation.
• Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Fluency in Arabic is considered a valuable asset.
