Biogénesis Bagó is embarking on an ambitious initiative to establish a state-of-the-art biologics and vaccine manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia. As part of this landmark project, we are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Site Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of the plant—from initial construction through to full operational readiness and beyond. About the Role

The Site Manager will serve as the senior on-site leader, assuming full responsibility for the successful execution of this greenfield project. This encompasses overseeing every critical phase, including construction, commissioning, technology transfer, validation, and the transition to steady-state operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strategic leadership to ensure the facility meets the highest standards of quality, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Act as the primary on-site Project Manager, leading all construction, commissioning, and startup activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Technology Transfer & Validation: Coordinate seamless technology transfer from international partners and oversee comprehensive validation activities to meet regulatory requirements.
• Operations Oversight: Direct all site operations, including production, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), supply chain management, and regulatory affairs, to maintain uninterrupted and compliant manufacturing processes.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and international quality standards to uphold the facility’s reputation for excellence.
• Financial Stewardship: Manage CAPEX budgeting, profit and loss (P&L) reporting, and financial performance to align with organizational objectives and stakeholder expectations.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary liaison with key government entities, including MODON, SFDA, and SDIF, as well as other regulatory and industry stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Team Development: Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing site team from the ground up, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Process Optimization: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

• Saudi nationality (mandatory).
• Minimum of five years of progressive experience in a senior site or plant management role, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated experience in biologics, vaccines, or sterile manufacturing environments, with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges and best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Chemical), Biotechnology, or Biochemistry; an MBA or equivalent business qualification is advantageous.
• Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma is highly desirable, along with a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
• Fluency in English—both written and spoken—with the ability to communicate effectively with international partners and stakeholders.
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams while navigating complex regulatory and operational landscapes.
