Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Skilled Helper to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Key Responsibilities

The Skilled Helper will be responsible for a variety of critical tasks to support uninterrupted production processes. Your duties will include:

• Material Management: Ensuring all raw materials are meticulously organized and stored in their designated locations to facilitate quick and efficient access. You will monitor material availability to prevent any shortages that could lead to machine stoppages, thereby maintaining optimal production flow.
• Waste Management and Workspace Organization: Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the workspace by ensuring waste trolleys and bins are correctly positioned and utilized. This includes promptly addressing any spills or debris to uphold a safe and productive work environment.
• Machine Setup and Support: Assisting machine operators in the setup of machinery and facilitating size changes as required. Your role will involve following detailed instructions to ensure machines are configured accurately for each production run, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
• Production Assistance: Coordinating with machine workers to address minor stoppages by organizing cleaning or repacking activities. Your proactive approach will help maintain continuous production and reduce potential disruptions.
• Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhering to all safety and environmental guidelines as outlined by the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) officer. Participation in toolbox talks and safety meetings is mandatory to ensure a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You will also contribute to the development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management system, fostering a proactive approach to workplace safety.
• Team Collaboration: Engaging in consultations and collaborative efforts across all applicable levels and functions within the organization. Your input will be valued in the planning and execution of initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance and driving continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications and possess the necessary skills:

• Education: A high school diploma or a technical diploma in a relevant field is required. Additional certifications or training in manufacturing processes will be considered an asset.
• Language Proficiency: Fluency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is essential to ensure clear understanding of instructions, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
• Technical Knowledge: A solid understanding of machine operations, safety practices, and production processes is critical. Prior experience in the manufacturing of baby diapers, feminine napkins, under pads, or adult diapers is highly desirable.
• Attention to Detail: The ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and precision in all tasks, from material handling to machine setup and safety compliance.
• Teamwork and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with operators, team members, and supervisors. Your ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly will be key to your success in this role.
