Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated ICU Registrar to join our esteemed critical care team. Key Responsibilities
The ICU Registrar will be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:
- Clinical Care:
- Provide primary medical care for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), ensuring comprehensive and compassionate treatment.
- Diagnose and manage a diverse spectrum of acute and chronic critical conditions with precision and expertise.
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and examinations to evaluate patient status and identify evolving needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique medical requirements.
- Monitor patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, providing urgent interventions to stabilize patients.
- Documentation & Communication:
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and comprehensive patient records, documenting all clinical activities including assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a clear, compassionate, and professional manner.
- Provide understandable explanations of medical conditions, procedures, and treatment options to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Teamwork & Professionalism:
- Collaborate effectively with consultants, residents, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care.
- Participate actively in medical rounds, case discussions, and team meetings to enhance clinical decision-making.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and patient confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse patient backgrounds, fostering an inclusive care environment.
- Represent the hospital with integrity and professionalism in all interactions, both within and outside the organization.
- Continuous Development:
- Stay abreast of the latest medical guidelines, research, and best practices to ensure evidence-based care.

- Adhere strictly to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements governing ICU operations.
Qualifications & Experience
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education:
- Hold an MBBS degree or equivalent from a recognized medical school.
- Possess a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant specialty, such as Internal Medicine, Anesthesia, or Critical Care.
- Be a member or fellow of a Royal College (or equivalent), meeting the registrar criteria for specialized training.
- Hold a valid certificate fully recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
- Complete Dataflow verification as part of the credentialing process.
- Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification specialized experience in ICU, gained within a reputable hospital or recognized medical center.
