Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will encompass a broad spectrum of procurement activities, including but not limited to:
- Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that align with Siemens Energy’s quality, cost, and sustainability objectives. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize procurement outcomes.
- Contract Management: Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and technical requirements. Monitor contract performance and address any deviations proactively.
- Procurement Execution: Oversee the procurement process from requisition to delivery, including purchase order management, supplier coordination, and logistics planning. Ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
- Risk Management: Assess procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions, vendor reliability, and market fluctuations. Develop mitigation strategies to safeguard project continuity and minimize financial exposure.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, finance, and legal departments to align procurement activities with project goals. Serve as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external suppliers to facilitate seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Compliance and Sustainability: Ensure all procurement activities comply with Siemens Energy’s policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards. Promote sustainable procurement practices, including the selection of eco-friendly materials and suppliers.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze procurement KPIs, such as cost savings, supplier performance, and delivery timelines. Generate reports to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and competencies:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CSCP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, preferably within the energy, oil and gas, or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of procurement methodologies, contract law, and supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is advantageous but not mandatory.
